Il primo ministro giapponese Shinzo Abe ha proposto il rinvio di un anno dell’Olimpiade di Tokyo 2020 durante il colloquio avvenuto con il presidente del Cio Thomas Bach. E secondo Abe: “Il Cio è d’accordo al cento per cento al rinvio di un anno dell'Olimpiade". Questo è quello che riferisce l’emittente giapponese NHK. Secondo Abe un rinvio è inevitabile se i Giochi non potranno tenersi in forma completa, nel mezzo della pandemia di coronavirus. Adesso toccherà al Cio prendere la decisione finale sulla data di svolgimento dell’Olimpiade.
