Toro's second training session of the week has just ended: Alberto Zaccheroni worked with the entire roster, excepting Ferrarese and third goalkeeper (as well as the Maratona idol) Alberto Fontana, both of whom are bothered by light muscular problems.

Before the start of today's session, right wing-back Gianluca Comotto spoke with the press and confirmed what both his teammates and president Cairo have been repeating over the last weeks: despite the lack of wins, the team's confidence is definitely growing.

"Against Messina we played a good match" Comotto said, "and the fact that we didn't manage to win gives us an extra motivation. We deserved the three points, although we conceded Messina a counterattack that could have been very costly. However, it was an isolated mistake and we'll work hard in order to avoid repeating it in the future".

With regards to yesterday's meeting between Cairo and the players, Comotto added: "It was a very fruitful meeting, everybody expressed his opinion: we are knowing each other better day after day and I'm sure that this kind of discussions can be very useful. Sure, Sunday's match will be very difficult: Palermo are a great team, they have a huge confidence and they're supported by a huge and hot crowd. However, they have already lost against Empoli and Atalanta, and if Toro will play with the right determination this match could really represent the tuning point of our season".

Tomorrow afternoon the Granata will play the usual midweek friendly against local team Villafranca. Two more training session are scheduled on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning, while the departure for Sicily is planned on Saturday afternoon.
