Di Loreto: too many whispers from the locker room

The key clash with Chievo is four days away, but tension is already running high in Toro's camp. Hopefully a positive tension, as the players look fully focused on a chance they just can't miss: the Verona team are not less in trouble than the Granata, and another negative result would be a huge blow for our troops.
In this view, yesterday's words by Marco Di Loreto sound more than clear. The veteran defender met the press and didn't certainly hide his emotions, giving the fans a sense of how the locker room is feeling this difficult start of the season. "We 're not doing well, that's for sure" Di Loreto said, "but give us time to work and you'll see a very good defence. Basically, it's a matter of teamwork and confidence. And please stop saying that we miss a quick defender: as I said, we just need some more time. In the first five matches everybody has been in trouble - defenders, midfielders, forwards- because we still have to learn how to "read" the game: we need to be compact in every situation, and understand which is the right thing to do. Sure, a positive result would help us immensely on that side and give us more motivations".
The most interesting part of the statement, however, came when Di Loreto complained about the fact that almost everything that happens inside Toro's locker room suddenly becomes of public knowledge. "I don't know where this comes from, but surely it's not professional. We haven't talked about it yet, but soon this must happen".
In the past days Zaccheroni worked on the 3-men defence, but it's likely that against Chievo we'll see once again the usual 4-men line. The last two training sessions were dedicated to a hard physical work: tomorrow we'll surely know something more about the coach's intentions in view of Sunday's match.
