Toro's preparation for the home match against Empoli, which is scheduled on Sunday afternoon and will be part of the Centenary's celebrations (with the Olimpico already sold out), continued today with the usual midweek friendly.
This time the opponent were Pinerolo, (7th Italian division), a tough team which forced the Granata to fight much harder than expected: actually, in the first half Toro struggled and were even forced to trail, as the hosts took the lead after 37 minutes, but right before the double whistle Stellone levelled the score by taking profit of a pass by Abbruscato. Coach Alberto Zaccheroni fielded this starting lineup: Miolli, Brevi, Cioffi, Franceschini, Pancaro, Comotto, Fiore, De Ascentis, Gallo, Stellone, Abbruscato.
In the second part, Rosina showed once again his great shape and netted both goals of Toro's final 3-1 victory. The Granata played with this eleven: Miolli, Melara, Orfei, Doudou, Konan, Barone, Ardito, Balestri, Lazetic, Rosina, Muzzi.
Everybody is healthy inside Toro's camp, although the coach preferred to rest a few players such as Abbiati, Di Loreto, Oguro and Taibi. As usual, president Urbano Cairo attended the match by sitting on the bench alongside Zaccheroni.
The Granata will resume training tomorrow afternoon at the Centro Sisport with the usual closed-door Friday session.
