The second training session of the week has just ended on the Centro Sisport pitch. After this morning’s heavy physical work, the Granata worked on the tactical side with coach Alberto Zaccheroni, who has the entire roster at his disposal: only Di Loreto and Pancaro didn’t join the bunch because of light muscular problems.

Tomorrow afternoon Toro will keep on preparing next Sunday’s clash with Messina with the usual midweek friendly, this time against local team Settimo: the starting whistle is scheduled at 3.00 PM, and it might be the chance for Zaccheroni to test the possible solutions for the delicate match against the Sicilians.

During yesterday’s session Stefano Fiore, perhaps one of the most disappointing Granata in this first part of the season, was booed by a few fans and this morning Alessandro Rosina defended his teammate from the pages of his website www.alessandrorosina.it: “This is a difficult moment for Stefano, but he’s reacting very well. He’s not the only one who has not given his best yet, and that includes myself. He’s a great professional and a friend, I’m sure that soon he’ll give Toro a huge contribution: right now, however, it’s pretty clear that Toro can’t afford playing with me and Stefano as offensive midfielders behind a striker, because we’re not at our best yet”.

Defender Pippo Pancaro added his point of view on the Granata’s difficult moment: “We’re not playing well and nobody’s happy around here. We must be realistic: our first goal is the save, and I’m sure that next season Cairo will bring this club where it belongs, that’s to say around the 4-5th place in the table. Right now, however, we must collect the points we need, even without playing great soccer”.
