Toro score 16 in the midweek friendly

It's true that the results of the midweek friendlies don't count, but the 16 goals Toro scored today against local team Caramagnese are by far a season-high and might be considered as another good sign, following last Sunday's win over Sampdoria and in view of the clash with Atalanta.

In the first half, which ended 8-0, Alberto Zaccheroni fielded this lineup (as usual, a mix of regulars and reserves): Taibi, Brevi, Cioffi, Franceschini, De Ascentis, Music, Gallo, Pancaro, Rosina, Lazetic, Oguro. The goals were scored by Rosina and Oguro (3) and Lazetic (2).

In the second half, the Granata played with this eleven: Taibi, Melara, Doudou, Orfei, Balestri, Ardito, Ferrarese, Barone, Konan, Muzzi, Abbruscato. The goalscorers were Konan (3), Abbruscato (2), Muzzi, Barone and Doudou.

As usual, president Urbano Cairo attended the match. At the end of tomorrow's training session we should have a better idea on who will be chosen to replace suspended Stellone in the middle of the offensive line, although the big favourite remains Elvis Abbruscato.
