Zaccheroni: ‘It was Toro’s best performance of the season’

Once again, Monday's usual day off is a sweet one for the Granata, who celebrate the second victory in a row. Zaccheroni's men will resume training tomorrow afternoon at the Centro Sisport in view of next Sunday's home clash with Empoli, and after the triumphs over Sampdoria and Atalanta the confidence inside the locker room keeps on growing.

Zac is really satisfied with Toro's performance against the Orobici. "It was our first away win, that's great news, and definitely our best performance" the Granata coach said. "My players were more determinate than in the previous matches, we practically didn't make any mistake and that was the only way to get a positive result on such a difficult pitch like Bergamo. Atalanta probably expected us to fold in the last part of the match: on the contrary, we managed to take the lead. Rosina is a key player for us, but we have several forwards who can make the difference: that's our best quality, and actually we always have three players beyond the ball".

Cairo obviously echoed his coach's words and praised Alessandro Rosina, definitely the best Granata on the pitch: "Rosina made an awesome play for the 2-0 goal. Zac found the perfect position for him, reducing his defensive duties and allowing him to exploit all of his offensive talent. The coach is as solid as ever, I've never regretted the decision to hire him: he only needed a few weeks in order to know his players".
